RAS Creative was established by RoseAnna Schick as a full-time venture in 2004. With a dynamic career as a music manager, motion picture publicist, content specialist, travel columnist, and entrepreneur, RoseAnna is passionate about every project she takes on. She is credited on 90+ film and television projects, has worked with 70+ special events, and has contributed to the career development of dozens of musicians.

MUSIC INDUSTRY

Most inspired by her work with Attawapiskat-based recording artist Adrian Sutherland, RoseAnna manages his solo career, as well as his previous activity with former band Midnight Shine. She takes care of all aspects of Adrian’s business, marketing and logistics, represents his 50-song catalogue, and produced 14 music videos that have collectively earned 1 million views on YouTube. She’s extra proud of Heart Of Gold, which was nominated Best Performing Arts & Entertainment at the 2019 Yorkton Film Festival, Canada’s oldest film festival. Politician Man took home the Best Performing Arts & Entertainment award from Yorkton in 2020, and has since won several more awards from film festivals worldwide.

RoseAnna got her start in music through college internships – one with a concert promoter, one with a music video producer – followed by a year at Paquin Entertainment. She was nominated Outstanding Manager at the 2001 Prairie Music Awards for her work with Winnipeg rock band Pushing Daisies. A community builder and trailblazer, RoseAnna is one of three founding members of Manitoba Music, having co-led the Manitoba Audio Recording Industry Association though a complete overhaul and relaunch of the organization into the one we know today. She is a founding member of the Prairie Music Alliance, which became the Western Canadian Music Alliance in 2003.

MOTION PICTURE INDUSTRY

On the motion picture side, RoseAnna’s expertise includes unit publicity, field producing, EPK production, launch campaigns, social media management, and media relations. She has worked with major US studios, and independent production houses, broadcasters and distributors from across North America and internationally.

RoseAnna started her film career as the marketing and distribution manager for Buffalo Gal Pictures, one of Winnipeg’s busiest production companies, before becoming a freelance production coordinator. She spent two years as Executive Director for the Manitoba Motion Picture Industry Association (now called On Screen Manitoba) before leaving the position in 2004 to launch her company, RAS Creative. RoseAnna recently completed a six-year term on the Board of Directors for On Screen Manitoba.

AWARD-WINNING ENTREPRENEUR

RoseAnna was honoured to receive a Women of Distinction Award in 2011, and nomination for the 2007 Manitoba Woman Entrepreneur of the Year. A lifelong writer, RoseAnna’s work was nominated for the 2013 Professional Writers Association of Canada Awards, and the 2018 Outdoor Media Summit Awards. She has published a biweekly travel column since 2012, and, during the pandemic, laid the foundation for an online travel and lifestyle magazine. Launching Inspirement is RoseAnna’s lifelong dream of finally having one website to house 25+ years of writing.

WORKS HARD PLAYS HARD

When she’s not busy being busy… you’ll find RoseAnna hiking, rowing, canoeing, kayaking, ice-skating, playing hockey, doing yoga, cycling, golfing, or out roaming somewhere in the Canadian wilderness… the more remote the better…
